WE HAVE A HOME!

It took all of 31 minutes to sign for our new home.  The kids playing in the room may have helped speed the process along.  But we are officially New Home Owners of a BEAUTIFUL ROME!!

1..2..3 - UNLOCK
WE'RE HOME!

Thank you for all your prayers and support along the way - We will keep praying for our neighbors in lot 3 in hopes to see them moving in quickly!

To all the other home buyers of new constructions out there...enjoy the process as much as you can - going into your new home and dancing about to Disney fairy tale songs is so worth any heartaches or bumps along the way!

btw-Did you ask for the double oven to placed in that location instead of the empty wall? I am just amazed at what we can do with our Rome's!!

    1. Too Funny about the double wall oven.. We got the inspiration from your home actually! You have a beautiful kitchen and the placement of your oven is really nice.. unfortunately, the "new version" plans have the ovens going where we got it. We asked to have it on the empty wall, and was denied with the reason that the new plans have it next to the refrigerator. And the flaw with it is, the refrigerator is now right next to the wall and the freezer door cannot be opened fully. The door doesnt even open enough to pull out the ice tray... ick! Anyway, thanks again for your visionary home blogging and providing all of us with your upgrading inspirations.

    2. Thank you so much for the compliment! I really love my kitchen. We had to provide them with lots of details and specifics to get them to see the vision for our placement. I am delighted it worked out. If it becomes a total nuance, you can always have it shifted to the other wall.

  3. Nice home, congrats. Please post pics when fence is finished. We are building down in Fredricksburg. Where is the cheap furniture store?

    1. We Will post pics of the fence when its done. We are debating between two fence companies from Fredericksburg... Triple K or Prestige.

"Cheap" furniture?? Only cheap ive seen is at the Exxon gas station in Crofton MD.. a guy comes up from NC once a month and sells couch and love seat for $400-$500. And recliners for about $200. But we don't need that stuff. We haven't made it to Fredericksburg. Our Flooring design rep (Danni) gave us a couple of furniture store suggestions (in Manassas). Maybe your rep can do the same?

    2. Try Bob's furniture! I heard they have some decent, inexpensive furniture.
